Goat's Milk Dinner Rolls

What you need

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup warm whole goat's milk (110°F)
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened, plus more melted for brushing

Method

Instructions

  1. Combine the warm goat's milk, yeast, and sugar; let sit until foamy, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the flour, salt, egg, and softened butter. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes.
  3. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
  4. Divide into 12 pieces, shape into rolls, and place in a greased baking dish. Cover and proof 30-40 minutes more.
  5. Bake at 375°F for 18-20 minutes, until golden, and brush with melted butter while warm.
