Rice Milk Brightening Face Mask

Kaolin clay is the mildest of the common cosmetic clays, gentle enough for facial use, and here it's paired with rice flour's own fine, brightening-associated texture and ferulic acid content for a mask that mildly resurfaces and absorbs excess oil at once.

What you need

Ingredients

  • Phase A (Aqueous Phase)
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL / 30g) Unsweetened Rice Milk
  • Phase B (Active Exfoliating / Absorbent Base)
  • 1 tbsp (8g) White Kaolin Clay
  • 1 tsp (3g) Finely Ground Rice Flour (Oryza sativa)
  • 1 tsp (5 mL / 7g) Raw Honey

Method

Instructions

  1. Whisk kaolin clay and rice flour together in a small non-metallic glass bowl.
  2. Add raw honey and unsweetened rice milk.
  3. Mix thoroughly using a wooden or silicone spatula until a smooth, cream-like paste forms.
  4. APPLICATION
  5. Paint an even layer onto clean facial skin using a mask brush.
  6. Allow the mask to dry for 10–12 minutes (do not let clay dry to the cracking point).
  7. Re-wet with warm water to soften, then gently massage in circular motions while rinsing.
