Sheep Milk Ultra-Nourishing Soap Bar

Sheep milk's combined high butterfat and protein content produces a noticeably denser, more lotion-like lather than any of the book's other melt-and-pour soaps, a genuinely different bar-soap experience from the lighter Goat or Oat Milk versions.

What you need

Ingredients

  • Phase A (Meltable Soap Base)
  • 1 lb (454g) Goats Milk or Glycerin Melt-and-Pour Soap Base
  • Phase B (Active Additives)
  • 2 tbsp (15g) Whole Sheep Milk Powder
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL / 21g) Raw Honey
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL / 14g) Sweet Almond Oil

Method

Instructions

  1. Chop soap base into 1-inch cubes and melt gently in a double boiler.
  2. In a small glass cup, slurry sheep milk powder, raw honey, and sweet almond oil with 1 tsp warm water until smooth.
  3. Remove melted soap from heat (approximately 55°C) and whisk in the sheep milk slurry until completely blended.
  4. Pour liquid soap slowly into silicone molds. Spritz surface with 70% alcohol to clear bubbles.
  5. Let cool and harden for 2 hours before unmolding.
  6. APPLICATION
  7. Lather between wet hands, massage over damp body skin, and rinse thoroughly.
