Simple Melt-and-Pour Goat Milk Soap
Melt-and-pour soap base is already saponified (the chemical reaction between fat and lye is complete), which is what makes this a beginner-safe soap format with no lye handling required.

- Phase A (Base)
- 1 lb (454g) Melt-and-Pour Goat Milk Soap Base
- Phase B (Actives & Additives)
- 1 tbsp (8g) Goat Milk Powder
- 1 tsp (5 mL / 7g) Raw Honey
- Phase C (Aromatic)
- 10 drops Lavender Essential Oil
Method
Instructions
- Cut melt-and-pour soap base into uniform 1-inch cubes.
- Place cubes into a heatproof glass pitcher or double boiler and heat gently until fully melted (approximately 55–60°C).
- In a tiny cup, premix goat milk powder with honey to form a smooth slurry.
- Stir slurry into melted soap base until completely combined.
- Remove from heat, allow temperature to cool slightly (approximately 50°C), and stir in essential oil.
- Pour liquid soap slowly into silicone soap molds. Spritz surface with 70% alcohol to clear air bubbles.
- Let cool undisturbed for 2–3 hours until completely firm before unmolding.
- APPLICATION
- Lather soap bar with water between hands or on a washcloth. Massage over damp body skin and rinse thoroughly.
