Almond Milk Hot Cocoa

What you need

  • 2 cups Unsweetened Almond Milk
  • 2 tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 oz Dark Chocolate, chopped
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract

Method

Instructions

  1. Whisk the cocoa powder and sugar into a small amount of the almond milk to form a smooth paste, working out any lumps.
  2. Heat the remaining almond milk in a saucepan over medium-low heat until steaming.
  3. Whisk in the cocoa paste and chopped chocolate, stirring until fully melted and smooth.
  4. Add the salt and vanilla, and warm gently without boiling.
  5. Pour into mugs and serve immediately.
