- 4 cups Unsweetened Almond Milk
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- Pinch of Salt
Method
Instructions
- Combine the almond milk and sugar in a wide, heavy saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
- Bring to a gentle simmer, then reduce heat to low.
- Simmer uncovered for 45 to 60 minutes, stirring occasionally at first and more frequently toward the end, until reduced to about 1 1/4 cups and syrupy.
- Stir in the vanilla and salt.
- Cool completely — it will thicken further as it cools — then bottle and refrigerate.
